F. Scott Fitzgerald (via thatkindofwoman)“For what it’s worth: it’s never too late or, in my case, too early to be whoever you want to be. There’s no time limit, stop whenever you want. You can change or stay the same, there are no rules to this thing. We can make the best or the worst of it. I hope you make the best of it. And I hope you see things that startle you. I hope you feel things you never felt before. I hope you meet people with a different point of view. I hope you live a life you’re proud of. If you find that you’re not, I hope you have the strength to start all over again.”

With so many no’s on this chart - why am I always saying yes and feeling guilty when I say no?

I wonder if any of them have a 2nd phone that they snuck into the meeting and they’re texting under the table thinking Obama won’t notice…? And are we in trouble if the people setting policy are so removed from the real lives of the rest of us that not one of them has an iphone?
Now You Can Feel Small Again
As the population shifts towards the urban side of the spectrum a not-too-often spoken about side-effect has become an increasingly smaller part of our nightlife though we generally are too busy with the flavor of the moment to notice our intensifying state of deprivation. As is true of most complications in the modern age this can all be traced back to the problem of light. The problem I’m talking about here is that the light from our cities is robbing us of the pleasure of gazing up at the stars - but not to worry the multi-billion dollar Google Corporation is coming to the rescue with http://www.google.com/sky/ - and not a moment too soon because I’m sure all of us have spent enough time dealing with our earthly pursuits and have been just standing around waiting for the opportunity to spend several centuries wandering about the cosmos without truly understanding a thing about it all while sitting in the comfort of our own computer chairs… (crossposted to Dirshoo
